CGT 'Out on the Road' - Show Time 2017
The
Royal Cheshire County Show 20th / 21st June
and Arley Garden Festival 24th / 25th June 2017
Publicising the CGT and recruiting new members is vital to the future of the organisation. A team of current CGT members generously gave their time during a glorious summer week to take the CGT message to a couple of recent Cheshire events. Volunteers designed, created and installed the floriferous displays, manned the stands and chatted to large numbers of visitors about our activities.
Arley Hall Nursery very kindly loaned the majority of plants whilst Dibley’s generously donated some of their specialist Streptocarpus. Remaining gaps were filled from Fryers Garden Centre and Windmill Nursery.
We were delighted that so many people found our displays interesting and were overjoyed to win two awards at The Royal Cheshire County Show: a ‘highly commended’ and a ‘special’ award from the show President. We were informed the latter was for ‘added value and interest’ for the show.
We are extremely grateful to all the volunteers who helped to make all this possible.
