An exploration of Dane Meadow, Holmes Chapel in June 2017
Following the CGT garden visit to Croco Brook Farm o 15 June, Christine Wilcox-Baker, CGT member and artist, led a walk at the seven hectare Dane Meadow. Christine worked with John Clowes, of
Holmes Chapel Parish Council, The Friends of Dane Meadow, and the project
steering group on the community project at this unspoilt natural environment in the Dane Valley.
Since 2013 grants were obtained from Natural England to improve access and from WREN to amplify the interest and biodiversity of the site. Long term management is the responsibility of The Friends of Dane Meadow.
