Monday 29th June, 14.00Guided tour of Crewe Hill Gardens
Crewe Hill Lane. Chester, CH3 6PDNot normally open to the public, Crewe Hill has been a family home since the late 18th century, and was the subject of a major restoration project in the 1980’s. Features include a large walled garden with a summer house, a large pergola festooned with Rose ‘Claire Austin’, and an impressive water feature designed by the Head Gardener, Tristan Salmon. Reflecting the owners’ travels, there is also a walk-through sub-tropical area with numerous exotic plants. The style could be described as quirky, and there are many fascinating features to discover.Further details of Crewe Hill ? and beautiful photos! - can be found in the interview with Head Gardener Tristan, in the CGT January Newsletter as well as in Alison Moore’s article for Cheshire Life, 22nd January 2023
